Front Door Leaks, Once more! April 3, 2011

I owned quite a few Whirlpool washers in the past. All 3 ended with machine breaking down, leaking, door not closing. Ironically, they all happened shortly right after the 1 year warranty expires. Horrible reliability October 21, 2011

As with the other individuals who have posted here, I would caution any person contemplating obtaining a Whirlpool appliance, based on my knowledge. 18 months ago I bought this new, front loading washer. I am a single individual, living alone and don't do laundry for anybody else. I wash two to three especially light loads per week (sometimes much less), use soft water, etc. About a week ago I noticed a very loud noise coming out of the washer on spin cycle. I referred to as an authorized repair shop and the repairman came by today. He informed me that a bearing was going out and that the repair bill would be $1120.70. He strongly urged me to contact the Whirlpool warranty center to see if they would extend the warranty, given the circumstances. I referred to as and--you guessed it--they essentially told me to stick it. To say that I am dissatisfied in an extreme understatement. Based on my encounter, I would encourage everyone to select a various manufacturer.

I purchases this exact model 3 months ago. To date I have ran properly more than 70 loads via it.Therefore far, I have no identified any challenges with it at all.It washes clothes to levels I did not feel practical. No problems, rattles, squeaks, leaks or odd characteristics.I read all the critiques about the internet. It's clear that when points function, people today smile and move on. When a thing goes wrong, you will need to spread the hate. Honestly, income was no selection when acquiring a top quality washer and this did not let me down. This is the best rated machine by Consumer Reports for a purpose, due to the fact it is that good.I bought a five year warranty on it just in case. But, how it is built, I really feel it will last three-five years just before needing adjustments or repairs.Yes, I'm a real owner and not a person paid to pump up the ratings.(My Washer was purchased locally and not internet)
